After my impulse buy of last week, I came back to the store to get my scheduled facial.
I have never taken care of my skin, let alone my face, so when the cosmetician asked me what do I apply on my face I was a bit ashamed to say just water.
The cosmetician lead me to a small room in the side of the store and invites me to lay on the massage chair.
She starts applying creams and proceeds to make a me facial. I have no idea what she’s doing to my face, but let’s say that for once it does feel good to be pampered.
I hit off with some chit chat and surprisingly we get along pretty well. She was surprised as well as how well we got along. I am not sure if we really got along or if she’s just a master in sales and make you feel you’re the best lol.
Either way, I had a good time talking to her and the session went pretty well.
Overall, it gave me a bit of a psychological boost, in the form of confidence. It could have been a sales technique, but I think that we did genuinely hit it off pretty well. Besides, as she stated, she didn’t expect to have such a good conversation with me and neither did I.
I’m pretty happy with my ‘purchase’, the feeling that you’re not that bad is priceless.
Getting confident one step at a time.
